Weird to ask a sloth?

"There's the sloth again!" sighed mama bear to her children. "They are lazy and spend most of their lives hanging upside down in the trees." The next day, Mama Bear and her children passed by the sloth again, and the conversation was the same.

"Wow, do you see the sloth, guys?" asked daddy fox to his children. "Yaaay!" the children answered joyfully. "They are lazy and spend most of their lives hanging upside down in the trees." The next day, daddy fox and his children passed by the sloth again, and the conversation was the same.

“Sloth! look at the sloth hanging there!” pointed the squirrel to her beloved siblings. "They are lazy and spend most of their lives hanging upside down in the trees." The next day, Squirrel and her siblings passed by the sloth again, and the conversation was the same.

“There, look at the sloth there!” grumbled grandpa turtle to his grandson. “They are lazy and spend most of their lives hanging upside down in the trees.” The next day, Grandpa Turtle and his grandson passed by the sloth again, and the conversation was the same.

“Whee you can see the sloth here” tweeted bluebird to her nestlings. “They are lazy and spend most of their lives hanging upside down in the trees.” The next day, bluebird and her nestlings flew by the sloth again, and the conversation was the same.

Everything was fine until one day the sloth wasn't there—and neither were the warm, familiar conversations...
